Our parent company is Nexus Services and we work closely with our sister company Libre by Nexus. We will always be happy to refer you to a lawyer who will fight for you. Qualifying situations may include respondents in custody awaiting bond hearings; Libre by Nexus clients in need of assistance; minors and families arrested together; LGBT asylum seekers; and those escaping gang violence.

Gordon Turner is a veteran immigration and criminal defense attorney. Licensed to practice law in California, Gordon represents immigration clients in bond hearings and removal defense cases across the US, and criminal defense cases in California. Gordon lives in Fishersville, VA. Before moving to VA Gordon ran for Mayor of Los Angeles, where he had served in the city attorneys office. During his time in the city attorney's office, Gordon led an initiative to prosecute hospitals for "patient dumping", a horrific practice where poor and disadvantaged people were kicked out of hospitals and taken to areas of the city where they were forced to be homeless. Gordon's work on this issue was featured in the film Sicko, a documentary by Michael Moore.

Briana Nicole Anselmo

Based in Verona, Virginia, Briana Anselmo is the Legal Secretary of Nexus Caridades. Born in Miami and raised in a diverse household of Dominicans and Hondurans, Briana understands the issues facing immigrants in the US. Briana assists the attorneys in their everyday mission to serve the immigrant community.

Ivan is an accomplished administrator and he is responsible for managing the day to day operations of Caridades. Ivan manages budgets, travel for attorneys, and the complexities of a national legal clinic. Ivan's experience managing International operations for Cirque du soliel give him a unique skill set to manage our legal operations.

Danielle A. N. Jones

Danielle Jones graduated from Brigham Young University Law School as part of the Class of 2011. She subsequently completed a prestigious year-long fellowship with a nonprofit in New York City. Danielle was the first staff attorney with Nexus Caridades and is proud to be a part of a growing team of dedicated immigration practitioners.
